Job Description

MoveDocs is seeking an Underwriter to join our growing company. The Underwriter plays a critical role as a liaison between healthcare providers and attorneys who work on personal injury cases. Candidates must be skilled multi-taskers who can pivot between cases and tasks easily and efficiently with strong customer service skills. This role will be responsible for receiving provider recommendations, gathering necessary information, and analyzing relevant information to accurately assess and underwrite cases. This position is based in our Las Vegas, NV office.

Responsibilities:               

• Communicates with treating facilities including receiving recommendations and treatment referrals.
• Shares relevant patient case information with representing attorneys and/or treating medical providers.
• Makes outbound calls and answers inbound calls from medical providers and attorneys to obtain case facts and status personal injury cases in a high-volume call environment.
• Drafts professional correspondence including letters, emails and faxes as required.
• Uses critical thinking and analysis to determine the best underwriting decision
• Delivers customer satisfaction through timely, accurate communications and customer-first perspective with ability to be empathetic to our clients and their needs.
• Develops rapport with law firms and medical providers.
• Works autonomously and as part of a team, assisting team members as needed.
• Mentors and collaborates with junior team members.

Requirements:

• High school diploma and at least one year claims handling experience or three years of personal injury experience in a medical or legal environment
• Strong negotiation and customer service skills
• Experience as an underwriter, claims specialist, case manager and/or insurance adjuster is a huge plus.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment to work quickly and accurately to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to manage interactions with attorneys and medical providers.
• Strong decision-making skills
